Gelatin Health Muscle Build Collagen
Muscle Collagen
Muscle collagen provides a clean and healthy source of protein that replaces energy used in training. Ideal to include in sports drinks and smoothies.
When taken at 15 grams per day Muscle Repair is reported to be more beneficial in the production of muscle mass and muscle repair than whey protein powder.
Ingredients
Derived from German bovine (cow), Collagen source (skin, connective tissue, bones). German cattle are all vet checked and certified. Does not contain gluten, dairy, cholesterol, sugar, fat or MSG. Kosher compliant and Halal certified. No added preservatives.
Dosage
Gelatin and Collagen are excellent sources of protein for physically active people who exercise regularly at the gym or with personal trainers. Because of the amino acid profile and special formulation of the Collagen, consumers can experience increased muscle mass and muscle performance. Collagen can replace whey protein powders as Collagen contains no fillers, sugars or chemicals, and there are no known allergens or negative reactions to Collagen. Our hydrolysed Collagen is also readily available to the body and has rapid absorption after oral consumption.
Gelatin and Collagen are both high in protein and contains 18 amino acids, which makes them perfect for stimulating and increasing muscle growth. Ideal for those who have lost muscle mass due to illness or hospitalization. Gelatin and Collagen are great for muscle repair after exercise or sports-related injury. It helps heal wounds and tighten skin because protein is necessary for tissue building and repair.
*Food grade Gelatin has 88grams protein per 100grams
*Hydrolysed Collagen has 96grams protein per 100grams
Gelatin and Collagen are fantastic to use as a post-recovery protein – immediately after exercise.
BCAA’s (branched-chain amino acids) are well known for their ability to breakdown protein. The amino acids in Gelatin and Collagen are great for protein synthesis as well. The amino acids that have been considered as conditionally essential for this process are: arginine, cysteine, glutamine, glycine, proline and tyrosine, which are found in Collagen and Gelatin, and contain in very high concentrations.
These are the amino acids that the body requires for post-recovery, but unable to rapidly synthesise them in the required amounts for recovery from intense activities (exercise) or recovery from a disease or injury or stress and when nutrient absorption capabilities are decreased (e.g. elderly people). So taking Gelatin or Collagen as a supplement directly after a workout will assist the body with the required amino acids for protein synthesis.
Gelatin and Collagen have been useful for those who work out to increase muscle mass and tone. The alanine in Gelatin has been shown to help protect cells from being damaged during intense aerobic activity when the body cannibalizes muscle protein to help produce energy.
Gelatin is also abundant in proline. The proline in Gelatin helps keep muscles and joints flexible. It is also used in the development and maintenance of healthy skin, muscle and connective tissues, especially at the site of traumatic tissue injury.
Glycine is the simplest of the amino acids. It is a building block and precursor for several molecular pathways. Glycine also helps to repair damaged tissues; without it, our wounds would never heal.
Arginine and glycine together are precursors for and boost the level of creatine. Creatine supplies the energy to all cells in the body and increases muscle mass.
Please note: We would never recommend anyone use Collagen or Gelatin as their only source of protein due to its low levels of some essential amino acids and lack of tryptophan.
We do recommend that Collagen powders always be used as part of a healthy diet involving the consumption of a variety of foods
